PAST CLASSES

Since ASCCA began "On Tour Training" in 2004, we have sponsored several outstanding classes that teach you what YOU want to know!!! Each class is carefully chosen, based on what our members tell us they want to learn! Some of the cutting-edge classes we have held in the past are:

2006: Creating and Communicating Expectations Using Key Numbers

Learn the key to successful employee communication!!! Taught by Cecil Bullard and Larry Moore, this class will help you improve communication with your employees, (ultimately improving your bottom line), show you ways to measure and evaluate employee progress and you can even earn Automotive Management Institute (AMI) credits if you wish. 2005:QuickBooks Operations and Applications

~ "Informative. Easy to understand. Made the application MUCH easier to work with in my shop."

Lead by Education Seminars Institute, instructed by Carline Hanstad, a certified QuickBooks Advisor. Classes for the "Beginner/Moderate" and "Intermediate/Experienced" QuickBooks user made this course a MUST for anyone who works with QuickBooks and wanted to use it to help set up their business, simply navigate QuickBooks quicker and easier, or use the program to process reports and backups.

2005: OBDII Mod $06 San Diagnostics

~"Ford trucks and SUV's . . . are real bad about not setting missfire codes. Since I now have a scanner capable of reading Mode$06 I have yet to see one that the missfires were not counted . . . . Simply put - if you are not familiar with and using mode $06 you are missing a very valuable diagnostic tool!"

Instructed by Tom Engelsman, has worked for independents and dealers including 10 years with Ford and 11 years in his own shop. In 1993 he accepted a position with Standard Motor Products as a technical trainer. He has presented more than 400 technical automotive seminars from Alaska to Mexico. He is a triple ASE master Technician - Master Automobile with L-1, Master Truck and Master Machinist. He owns and operates Automotive Diagnostic Services, a repair shop that specializes in diagnostics in Ford, Lincoln, Mercury and Mazda.

This class focused on: What is mode $06? Will my scanner access it? Is it really useful or just hi-tech hype? Is it available on all OBDII vehicles? Can it be used to pinpoint no code emission failures? Can it be used to pinpoint no code missfires? Can it be used to quickly verify a repair?

2004: How to Repair Hybrid Cars

~ "Very good class! I can't say enough good things about this class or the instructor!"

Taught by Craig Vanbatenburg, an ASPIRE Trained, ASE Master, L1 and working Honda/Toyota specialist. This 8-hour class featured the Toyota Prius, Honda Civic Hybrid, Honda Insight and Ford Escape Hybrid - cars that, even in 2004, were selling more than 80,000 units a year.
