Automotive Services Council of California an Active Player in the Passage of ADA Regulatory Relief

SACRAMENTO- The Automotive Services Council of California today thanked Governor Brown for signing into law commonsense ADA reform measures that will reduce the number of frivolous lawsuits that hurt California’s small businesses.

“This is a smart, balanced approach between preserving the civil rights of those who are disabled to ensure access to all public accommodations, and limiting the number of frivolous lawsuits threatened or filed against businesses that do not improve accessibility,” said Tracy Renée, Chair of ASCCA’s Government Affairs Committee. “This legislation marks the most significant ADA reform measures in recent years, and ASCCA is proud to have joined other small business organizations throughout California to bring much-needed relief to our state’s small business owners.”
