Alan got his Mechanical Engineering degree from San Jose State University but found that he was no longer interested in that line of work. Maria and her husband started Carrillos Autobody in May of 1981 and specialize in automotive collision repair. As their three sons, Tony Jr, David, and Daniel got older, they eventually started working at the shop - running the business and taking care of the customers. Lee joined BVA in January of 1987, after 10 years working for the University of California Irvine in the Media Services department, and a voyage with Semester At Sea as Assistant to the Executive Dean.
