The Automotive Service Councils of California Efforts Help Defeat the California Tire Tax

SACRAMENTO – The Automotive Service Councils of California (ASCCA) efforts help defeat AB 755 (Holden), which would have increased the California tire fee from $1.75 to $3.25. ASCCA opposed this legislation from the beginning and made it one of its legislative goals to defeat during the annual Aftermarket Industry Legislative Day that took place on April 23. “I want to thank everyone who met with their Assembly Members during Legislative Day and those that contacted their Assembly Members this past week requesting a ‘no’ on the bill. Our grassroots efforts make a huge difference! This is a prime example,” said ASCCA legislative advocate Jack Molodanof. Click here to read the full press release p.p ... read more
